Linda joined The WJF Institute in 2007 as an instructor in the Client Development and Relationship Management Workshop.

Linda brings a wide variety of business experience with her to WJF in both publicly and privately held companies.  As part of her experience she structured the financial and business acquisition of a privately held company which was the sole supplier of temporary structures to the PGA TOUR.  This effort involved marketing of the business plan and the securing of senior debt financing.  Subsequently, she co-authored a response to a RFP which resulted in a major five year contract with the PGA TOUR Championship Management.

After the acquisition, she accepted an equity interest and management position in the company, serving as shareholder, officer and Vice President of Marketing.

In that capacity she developed marketing strategies to expand sales, image and awareness of the company and its product throughout the U.S.   As an owner of the company, she engaged in all aspects of design and financing, manufacturing and installation of new technology for European style structures, becoming the first U.S. supplier of state-of-the-art equipment for TOUR events including The President’s Cup.

Previously, Linda served as Corporate Counsel for a publicly traded environmental corporation which was a non-hazardous processor, disposal and recycling facility.  In this position, she authored compliance documents for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, The Occupational Safety and Heath Administration Employees Emergency Plan and Fire Prevention Plan.  She initiated and conducted OSHA employee safety training programs and initiated and implemented employment policies.

Her work in the environmental industry lead to her formation of Carlin Oil LLC, a Michigan Minority Owned Business where she served as Managing Partner and General Counsel.   She initiated marketing contacts with the Pentagon and Navy Petroleum Office for waste oil acquisitions and sale of recycled products.

Linda currently represents The Crawford Group, a manufacturing, real estate and investment partnership, working on special projects for their President in the areas of due diligence, private placement memoranda and review of documents for litigation.

Linda received her JD from the University of Detroit School of Law, her B.S. from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio and studied at The University of Oxford, Oxford, England.  She is an active member of The State Bar of Michigan.
